What to Know: This iconic family‑owned shop has been making candy for more than 130 years, with roots back to the Louisville area in the 1850s. You’ll find hard candies, chocolates, fudge, and classic Red Hots, all crafted the traditional way. The store also features a 50s‑style soda fountain, old‑fashioned lunch counter, and one of the few candy museums in the U.S. showcasing sweets history and memorabilia.

Must‑Try: Their Red Hot cinnamon candies and handmade chocolates; longtime favorites.

🔎 Fun fact: Schimpff’s was recently named the Best Candy Store in America and continues to draw visitors to downtown Jeffersonville just across the river from Louisville
