🏇Happy Derby Weekend
plus refreshing Derby recipe

Happy Oaks Day Louisville!
I hope you are enjoying Derby weekend and are ready for some BBQ and Mint Juleps.
Did you know: The Oaks race is older than Kentucky Derby? The Kentucky Oaks was founded in 1875, the same year as the Kentucky Derby. Both were the brainchild of Colonel Meriwether Lewis Clark Jr., but the Oaks actually took place two days earlier than the first Derby.
Before the ground starts to tremble as these queens of speed thunder down the track, each stride writing another chapter in Kentucky's beloved tradition, here is the visual representation of the Oaks race history.
